Last night (26-December-2015) two magnitude 3,3 earthquakes took place in Bárðarbunga volcano. This earthquake activity was followed by a change in activity on 2 – 4Hz band, I’m not sure why that is, it might signal a inflow of magma at depth into shallow parts of the crust. This is however only guess on my part, this change in signal and it’s origin.

It is my view that the risk of eruption in Bárðarbunga volcano is increasing fast and Bárðarbunga volcano might erupt without warning at any time. Iceland Met Office holds a different view and that is there is no major risk of eruption in Bárðarbunga volcano at the moment, even if magma continues to flow into Bárðarbunga volcano.

The magnitude 3,3 earthquake in north-east part of Bárðarbunga volcano caldera had the depth of 0,1 km. The magnitude 3,3 earthquake in south-east part of the caldera had the depth of 2,5 km. At 08:20 UTC this morning a magnitude 1,0 took place in Bárðarbunga volcano, that earthquake had the dept of 20,3 km and that suggest the magma inflow might be more than current ideas and models suggest (this earthquake is on the edge of the volcano, not far from Tungnafellsjökull volcano). I don’t know what is going to happen next in Bárðarbunga volcano. Since nobody knows for sure what is going to happen next in Bárðarbunga volcano.
Update 1
The earthquake activity in Bárðarbunga volcano has now created a half-circle of earthquakes in the caldera. Over the past 24 hours there has been slight increase in activity in Bárðarbunga volcano after the magnitude 3,3 earthquakes. There has also been some odd harmonic tremor spikes around Bárðarbunga volcano, the problem is that at the moment there is bad weather taking place at this location in Vatnajökull glacier area. So this might just be wind. I have to wait until the weather gets better in order to see if anything changes.

I don’t know if any more activity is going to take place. This might die down, it is difficult to be sure about what happens next.

I have a slightly different idea than Iceland Met Office about what is going on. It is my thinking that there are more than one magma chamber at work in Bárðarbunga volcano and just one of them has erupted so far. To complicate matters there is a rifting going on and those are unpredictable.
What is happening to Bárðarbunga volcano is that it is being torn apart by the rifting and that is going to create all types of activity, both shallow and at depth (+30 km). This process is going to take place over a time period of 10 – 30 years (at the longest, but 10 years is the “normal” time period for this type of rifting in Iceland based on Krafla volcano).

With Jon’s Deeper quake these two at a much closer to the surface origin would seem to suggest that something is going on! Àrmann Höskuldsson was predicting that Bàrðarbunga will erupt again in 2016. Perhaps the Iceland MET has a different thought but they have to make their statements based on actual data where Jon and Àrmann have a bit more leeway . Their comments are not being used to make calls that could affect major airlines. The MET has to use caution because their statements can create ripples in the global economy.
Note the quality of these recordings: only those at 99% have been checked by IMO, and 1.1 kms is the depth assigned by default before the data have been manually processed. This is the updated report:

It’s good to see the nonsense of the volcano draining and it’s plug collapsing has been put to rest and logic is starting to prevail.
Perhaps some subglacial dome building event taking place?
There is no Felsic (rhyolitic) magma in Bárðarbunga volcano so dome building is not possible.

This only happens if new magma meets old magma, like was the case in Eyjafjallajökull volcano. I don’t think that is going to be the case with Bárðarbunga volcano, but if this does happen the result is going to be close to what happened in Eyjafjallajökull volcano. The difference is the amount of glacier on top of the volcano, result of such melt means bigger glacier flood.
If there was a shallow emplacement of rhyoite,then dome building under the glacier could be present,causing glacial melt and the creation of subglacial lake could it not?This might explain recorded activity with no actual visible eruption (phreatic or phreatomagmatic)ever occurring.
I have noted activity at Bardabunga and nearby two volcanoes. I remain of the view that all volcanic activity is Star controlled and is a three galaxies matter

Bárðarbunga volcano is a rift zone volcano and the process that power it is a well known process, even if it is not well understood. Bárðarbunga volcano also sits on the edge of two plates. You can find more details in this image here.

hmm happened the last time I tried to post but thought it was an issue on my end and blamed the wife!
I don’t know what the problem is. I didn’t see any error and this does not appear to have happened again.
I want to make a note on Amazon. Any item that is returned is calculated as not sold (I get a item returned). So if people buy from Amazon and than return the item for whatever reason does not help me. This is also a really bad shopping habit and might get people into problems (if item is not faulty on delivery) with Amazon.
I’m also now testing Amazon CPM that they them self are running in beta (or something). If it works, it should increase my income. I get +30.000 page views a month just on this website alone.
