Earthquake swarm south of Grímsey island

During the night of 29-January-2022 an earthquake swarm started south of Grímsey island. This earthquake swarm is rather strong at the writing of this article.

This earthquake swarm is ongoing at the writing of this article so there is a change of stronger earthquake happening in this area. Largest earthquakes so far had a magnitude of Mw3,3 (02:35 UTC) and Mw3,5 (02:40 UTC). There is a swarm of smaller earthquakes at the same location that started after the Mw3,3 earthquake, that is the first earthquake in this swarm. Earthquake swarms like this are common in Tjörnes Fracture Zone (TFZ).
