A small earthquake swarm started today (30-June-2019) east of Grímsey island. Largest earthquake in this swarm had a magnitude of 3,6. There are no news that it had been felt.

This is one of several earthquake swarms in this area of Tjörnes Fracture Zone this year. More activity can be expected in next few months. This earthquake swarm activity appears to be only tectonic in nature.

I agree with Jack, it would be very interesting to know if the most recent large California EQ registered on your equipment here, Jón? I know it off your patch as it were, and not volcanic in origin, just curious whether its ‘reach’ extended so far.
Yes. To my surprise it did register. Its not a good signal but I did register the surface waves clearly.
