Around 21:00 UTC today (30-June-2015) a strong earthquake swarm started on the Reykjanes ridge. So far the largest earthquake had the magnitude of 4,2, this has not been reviewed so it might be larger or smaller once reviewed.

The earthquake swarm is dense as can be seen on this image. Copyright of this image belongs to Iceland Meteorological Office.
It is possible to monitor the progress of the earthquake on my geophone in Heklubyggð here.

is an eruption going on, because that looks like there could be, and a big one at that.
Sorry for being an ass the last few times I have issues…
Bigger then BB
No. it’s tectonic.
For the moment…
But the swarm looks continued, but i am not able to interpret the tremor.
Spreading or compressing.
The swarm is magma-tectonic in nature, with no clear harmonic tremor, but definetly there is magma involved due to the nature of the region and decompression melt. But no clear eruption sign at the moment.
Forgot to add: The drumplots also do not look pure tectonic.
Could it be an underwater eruption taking place?

Eldey has signs of heighten unrest at the moment, seismic activity still very high.
Thats a methane site. Is it possible its methane clathrates erupting out of control?
Thats a methane clathrates site I believe. Is it possible that methane erupting?
