Volcano and earthquake activity in Iceland
At 03:17 UTC on 26-November-2021 an earthquake with magnitude of Mw3,5 took place in Vatnafjöll mountains that are south of Hekla volcano. This earthquake was not felt or it was not reported to Icelandic Met Office.

Yesterday (13-November-2021) at 23:23 UTC an earthquake with magnitude of Mw3,4 took place in Vatnafjöll mountain south of Hekla volcano. This looks like an aftershock of the main earthquake of magnitude Mw5,2 that took place on 11-November-2021.

Today (12-November-2021) at 05:05 UTC an earthquake with magnitude of Mw3,2 took place 3,3 km South West of Keilir mountain. This earthquake was felt up to Borgarnes town.

At 07:20 UTC today (6-November-2021) an earthquake with magnitude of Mw4,0 took place in Bárðarbunga volcano. A swarm of smaller earthquakes happened in the same area before and after the strongest earthquake.
This earthquake activity shows that Bárðarbunga volcano continues to inflate after the eruption in 2014 to 2015. This does not indicate that an eruption is about to happen. A lot more earthquake activity and time has to happen before an new eruption happens in Bárðarbunga volcano.

Yesterday (28-October-2021) an earthquake swarm took place east of Grímsey island. The largest earthquake had a magnitude of Mw3,9 at 22:06 UTC. It is not know if it was felt in Grímsey island.
Earthquakes are common in this area and large earthquake swarm happens in this location every 2 to 10 years.
At 01:28 UTC on 27-October-2021 an earthquake with magnitude of Mw3,3 took place 4 km north of Hveragerði town. This earthquake was clearly felt in Hveragerði and nearby area. No damage has been reported because of this earthquake according to earliest news.
There is a chance there is going to be more earthquake activity in this area. But few earthquakes with no more activity is also common in SISZ.
On 24-May-2021 at 21:36 UTC an earthquake took place in Brennisteinfjöll volcano. The magnitude of this earthquake was Mw3,6 and this earthquake was felt in Reykjavík area.
There have been few smaller earthquakes in this area since the largest earthquake, but other than that it has been quiet. This earthquake is believed to have happened because of stress changes on the Reykjanes peninsula because of the eruption in Fagradalsfjall mountain.
