This earthquake swarm is rather large, with 217 earthquakes recorded so far. Copyright of this image belongs to Icelandic Met Office.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This earthquake activity suggests that magma pressures in the area is increasing quickly since the eruption in Fagradalsfjall mountain stopped three months ago. The inflation that has been measured so far is in the range or above 2 cm at the writing of this article. Since the earthquake activity is increasing it is clear that in next few weeks to months earthquake activity is going to increase on the Reykjanes peninsula until next eruption happens.
