There are no signs of anything more happening than just this increase of earthquakes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/icelandgeology.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/190714_1740.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/icelandgeology.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/190714_1740.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"642\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8010\" srcset=\"https:\/\/icelandgeology.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/190714_1740.png 540w, https:\/\/icelandgeology.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/190714_1740-252x300.png 252w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nEarthquake activity in Katla volcano. <em>Copyright of this image belongs to Icelandic Met Office.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This increase in activity is something to keep a watch for but this has happened before without resulting in a eruption in Katla volcano. There have been reports on high volume of water level in the cauldrons in M\u00fdrdalsj\u00f6kull glacier. I don&#8217;t know if that is connected to this increase in earthquake activity. There is an expatiation that water is going to break out soon and the flood is going to be the largest since 2011. That might increase earthquake activity in Katla volcano once that happens.
