But few years (<a href=\"http:\/\/hraun.vedur.is\/ja\/viku\/2005\/vika_31\/index.html#mark\">Week 31<\/a> 2005, <a href=\"http:\/\/hraun.vedur.is\/ja\/viku\/2005\/vika_35\/bab.gif\">Week 35<\/a> 2005, more data <a href=\"http:\/\/hraun.vedur.is\/ja\/viku\/2005\/vika_35\/0.html\">here<\/a>) ago Kverkfj\u00f6ll broke few decades of silence with a swarm of earthquakes. But most of them where small earthquakes and not many of them did reach ML3.0 in size.<\/p>\n<p>In last week (<a href=\"http:\/\/hraun.vedur.is\/ja\/viku\/2010\/vika_39\/bab.gif\">Week 39<\/a> 2010) there where few earthquakes in Kverkfj\u00f6ll. But those where just few earthquakes, not a real swarm of earthquakes. Over the years there have been <a href=\"http:\/\/hraun.vedur.is\/ja\/viku\/2003\/vika_07\/bab.gif\">earthquakes<\/a> (Week 7, 2003) in Kverkfj\u00f6ll so this might not be so uncommon happening. But for the most part, Kverkfj\u00f6ll normally don&#8217;t show much activity besides hot springs and boiled soil. <\/p>\n<p>Last eruption in Kverkfj\u00f6ll did happen in the year 1968 and in the year 1959 according to Global Volcanism Program.<\/p>\n<p>I do not believe that Kverkfj\u00f6ll are going to erupt soon. But things might get interesting in Kverkfj\u00f6ll in 5 to 10 years from now.
