A unpublished paper (according to R\u00fav News) reports that with more <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Glacier\" target=\"_blank\">glacier<\/a> melt in Iceland, more eruptions should be expected to take place. This is mostly true about areas like <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vatnaj%C3%B6kull\" target=\"_blank\">Vatnaj\u00f6kull<\/a> glacier, as it holds several volcanoes that are under heavy pressure from the glacier ice. This applies mostly to volcanoes like Gr\u00edmsfjall volcano, B\u00e1r\u00f0arbunga volcano and Kverkfj\u00f6ll volcano, but those three volcano are the largest ones in Vatnaj\u00f6kull glacier.<\/p>\n<p>This might also apply to areas like <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/M%C3%BDrdalsj%C3%B6kull\" target=\"_blank\">M\u00fdrdalsj\u00f6kull<\/a> glacier. If this study is true, there might be more eruptions in Iceland in next few decades as the glacier melts away.
