{"id":1482,"date":"2011-09-15T01:39:41","date_gmt":"2011-09-15T01:39:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/icelandgeology.net\/?p=1482"},"modified":"2011-09-15T01:40:36","modified_gmt":"2011-09-15T01:40:36","slug":"tremor-spikes-in-katla-volcano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icelandgeology.net\/?p=1482","title":{"rendered":"More new tremor spikes in Katla volcano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday and today there where two tremor spikes in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.volcano.si.edu\/world\/volcano.cfm?vnum=1702-03=\" target=\"_blank\">Katla volcano<\/a>. This follows a higher then normal background noise that I cannot directly trace only to wind as I did first think. What is going on is not clear, but it remains a bit of events just before the July 1999 minor eruption (suspected). But it has been speculated by scientist that event was related to inflation event deep inside Katla volcano systems. But the actual fact remains unclear. But in the year 1999 this signal was most clear on Sn\u00e6b\u00fdli SIL (snb). But today this signal appears to be most clear on Go\u00f0abunga SIL station and Eystri-Sk\u00f3gar SIL (esk) SIL station. I do not know what the difference is. But I am sure that this signals are going to mean something someday.
