{"id":1201,"date":"2011-07-16T15:41:04","date_gmt":"2011-07-16T15:41:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/icelandgeology.net\/?p=1201"},"modified":"2011-07-16T16:20:49","modified_gmt":"2011-07-16T16:20:49","slug":"harmonic-tremor-spike-from-hamarinn-volcano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icelandgeology.net\/?p=1201","title":{"rendered":"Small harmonic tremor spike from Hamarinn volcano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There seems to be a small harmonic tremor spike taking place in Hamarinn volcano (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.volcano.si.edu\/world\/volcano.cfm?vnum=1703-03=\">B\u00e1r\u00f0arbunga volcano<\/a>) at the moment. This tremor spike is not strong <del datetime=\"2011-07-16T16:15:51+00:00\">at the moment<\/del>. This tremor spike appears to have been pre-seeded by few long period earthquakes (not all of the earthquakes seen on Skrokkalda are from Hamarinn volcano, few are from Katla volcano), but that suggests that magma is on the move in Hamarinn volcano. As it&#8217;s pre-eruption behaviour is rather unknown.
